    I,m not sure what your using , post a pic and what blade ,, what was your prep ,, and why trying ATG. So soon , go slow section at a time , you must learn to walk before you run, staying with WTG until your comfortable will give better results , no pressure and good skin stretching ,, tc

    Best advice already given. Slow process but the rewards for taking it slow are worth it. Good luck an keep us posted

    Using a shavette or straight requires some good prep. What are you using? Second, if you are just learning why go against the grain. Learn the technique then try across the grain on your cheek. Then try a diagonal stroke on your check. Once you have done that for a couple of weeks, then go for the grand slam. I was told by a barber friend 50 years ago who gave me my first shavette, walk before you run. Also watch some videos like Geo or Lynn.
