Rez pretty much nailed it, you can not really compare straights to shavettes. This is my opinion and has been since I started, the DE or single edge blade used in a shavette is a different type of sharp not to mention they have flex where a straight razor really does not. A straight razor can be made incredibly sharp no doubt but IMO sharp like DE no. It is just not apples to apples : )
Also on buying Rez nailed that the B/S/T on here would be a great place, seeing you are from Canada I know things being shipped can get pricey so I can not help much there.
And on naming a brand/blade that will compare to your feather, I have not used the feather blades. I have used a shavette that is how I started as well. I would say if you buy a quality straight be it used/vintage or new and it is honed properly you shall not be disappointed Sir. Wish you the best in your adventureNothing is fool proof, to a sufficiently talented fool...
