Default New Shavette(very close to a real straight)

This is my new Shavette, this is very close to a real straight(traditional) to my opinion. The feel, the shave, the forgiveness and the post shave. Here's some picsName: IMG_0177.jpg

    Which blades does it use?

What brand is that? I can't quite see the logo.

I suspect it's a Chinesse brand, anyway they are good for my face and they are double edge. Here's few picsName: IMG_0178.jpg

I'm on my 5 shaves on 1 side of the blade and I'm pretty sure that I'm still good for another 3 or 4 shaves. Very good blade for my face anyway

I went to the website of Ali Xpress and found something remarkable similar called the Lyrebird. Link -> https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Lyre....7e7d8f5QlpDAM However, it does look like your shaver takes the longer blades similar to the DOVO Shavette that use the Merkur long blade. Is that correct?

Funny.... I also found a razor that is a complete look alike, DE adjustable, to the Merkur Futur that I have (2 ea) Have a notion to buy one to compare since it is only $6.45 a piece with free shipping from China (bought 1 ). I'll keep looking to see if I can find a name for that razor.

UPDATE: Believe I found what that razor is called: Strong Leopard. It has a holder that takes a 63mm that is 16mm tall, break in half = 8mm appx. blade, and the Feather A.C. blades are 50mm X 8mm (for the most part) link: -> 77 A barber hair cut razor hair tonsure knife High Quality, Replaceable blade razor Double blade shaving+10 razor blade-in Razor from Beauty & Health on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

The blade in the picture looks like it is a longer blade than a DE blade. Is it longer (wider) than the normal DE and more like the Merkur blades used in the DOVO shavette?

Just an update those blades are double edges but they doesn't fit in a DE razor, there similar of The Feather Artist straight(shavette). For my face they are perfect very sharp and very comfy, I'm very impress whit the shaves they got me.

    Aloha!

I appreciate this thread. Thanks OP. I originally got into Shavettes for travel because taking a straight on a plane is taboo. But I quickly learned that my decades of skill with a straight do not translate to a Shavette. At least they don't for me. I have your standard run-of-the-mill Shavettes from Amazon. Although I buy things from Aliexpress, I just never thought to check for this sort of Shavettes from Aliexpress. I'm now on the hunt.

For the last six months or so I've forced myself to shave once a week with a Shavette even while home. First pass only, second pass DE. I have a high cut ratio with a Shavette even with mild blades, so I only do the first pass with a Shavette. I'd like to try the style of Shavette discussed int his thread to see if it makes a difference.
