Default Strop a Feather either DX or SS??

Anyone ever strop their Feather razors with blades inserted to either tone down the edge (sharpness) or to revive the edge of the blade?

I did that for a while just to see how long I could go with one blade (Feather DX). I put the blade a little less then half way in and stropped on red paste (0,1micron). Normally I switch blades after 15 shaves but with the stropping I got more then a month out of a blade. Don't do that any longer as I have about 900 blades in stock.

I was just kind of wondering. I have the KRISS-CROSS DE automatic (sort of) razor stop of my Grandpa George Jenewein. His son Herbert and daughter-in-law, Laura gave it to him for Christmas. Christmas tag is still in the box. What it does it you put a DE blade in the holder, set the pressure at maximum and turn the crank. It rotates a leather strop (round) in the device and then the blade is held down to the rotating strop and after a complete turn it automatically lifts and rotates to the other side and then goes back down. All the while the round strop is still rotating from the little hand crank you turn on the machine. Does this a few times and the pressure begins to lessen and the stropping continues, until it is only a very light touch on the strop. You can reset the tension and repeat the whole process if you want Does all the lifting, rotating and downward pressure all on it's own. Neat little device. Very short video shows what I'm talking about.... here ->

I tried stropping on my linen and leather strops. Found 10-15 laps on leather work the best. I keep the blade in the SS and it does prolong the amount of shaves but I just have so many blades I stopped doing it.
