Thanked: 4Shavettes definitely require an adjustment to technique as compared with a regular SR. And like SRs, each one is a little different; keep practicing with it, and it will mellow out.

Thanked: 7jamiedaniel:
I'm planning a trip to Asia (supposed to be on my way there now but my mother had a bad fall and although nothing broken, that forced me to postpone the trip) and I plan to take the straight razor.
I hate having to put anything at all into air cargo but TSA won't allow a straight razor in carry on. *I disagree with such policies 100% but "modern society."
I'll take my 4 inch wide strop, lather, oil, the whole works! I guess I'll have to start doing that on all my trips now too since I have given up using anything else on my face. Why must you lose the straight razor on trips?
