I've not tried the Dovo but can report that the Feather Artist Club DX is a superb razor. There's 4 types of blade to experiment with but I find the Professional Supers to be outstanding. You don't need to pay through the nose for a DX either, there are eBay sellers in Japan who'll sell you one for well under $US 200.
True, it is a different experience to a straight, but don't be put off, the shaves are closer than anything I've had with any kind of razor - mind you, my SR technique was fully developed before I picked one up and the Feather might not be the best place for a beginner to start. My opinion only

Thanked: 96I have the Feather SS, DX and the new SR as well as more straight razors than I can count. When I am in a hurry, I'll use the Feather SR, no stropping or honing needed. When I have some time its the straight razors.
