    Default Shave and a haircut...$30

My son is back in town for work with the company he's been working with in Orlando while in school. Anyway he spent the day with his mother today who took him for a haircut. He got the works.

I put this in shavette shaving because I'm sure that's what he used. My wife sent me the first picture and I asked her to get some more. I also asked her to get me a picture of the razor and this is what she sent me:

I didn't have the heart to tell her that wasn't what I meant.

That's funny. Well, you asked for "The Razor". That's what you got.

Your title of this thread made me think. I remember my father complaining when his barber (back in the 60s) raised his price from $1.75 to $2.00 for a haircut. I specifically remember him barking "No more 25 cent tip for him!". Too funny. He stopped having a shave when the guy wanted an additional $1.50 for a shave. He'd hardly be able to contain himself if he were alive today and saw your post of $30. I can hear him now. "The World has gone CRAZY!".

Anyway, sorry to get off the subject. Great post. Your son looks relaxed and enjoying the grooming. Great head of hair and beard. The advantage of youth.

Yeah I thought that was funny too. It's come a long way from $0.25.
He has that wavy flowing Viking red hair and the beard that every hockey player would die for (make that KILL for.) My hair was white blonde when I was his age. My two brothers' hair was brown but my mother and her brother had red hair. My father's father and all nine of his siblings had red hair. Interestingly though they all had blue eyes just like my son does which is really rare.

Everything is relative. A few years from now when a shave and haircut costs $500 (har har) these will seem like the good old days.
