Default Forgot to put salt in

I had a really hard time getting a decent lather today (I let the water softener go empty). The problem seemed to be exacerbated by use of a per-shave oil.

I mention this only because I feel that the process taught me more than just the obvious. I was able to get a wonderfully close shave in spite of the thin soapy lather, but when I splashed on the AS, I realized the value of cushion. Until that moment, I thought the shave went great...and in actuality, it had, but there was slight irritation.

Another thing I learned was that a thin soapy lather is great for shaving up around my eyes because it makes the ultra-fine hairs that grow there a lot easier to see and subsequently shave...though regular lather would work, it stands up and kills my peripheral vision.

Never pass up an opportunity to learn something, gents...even if the lesson teaches you that the other way is better

    Excellent point Unit!

Now, quick... someone go to Unit's house and mess with the softener's adjustments. I want to know what happens when the sodium content spikes...

Martin103, rolodave and unit like this.

It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.
