Ice water towel....now that sounds awesome....that will be next time!
When winter hits, will try a bucket of snow in the sink....hopefully not the yellow kind! (had to write it before someone else did....)!

Been using cold water for shaving since at least January this year and up here you don't need an ice towel in the winter. :D I won't say it is ice water but cooler than now by a bit for sure. Using cold water to shave with does sound contrary to all the advice you get but it works and works well enough for me that I'll stay with it.

Cheers!
I can't believe it has been three years +. I've been going cold since February of 2010 when I posted this thread here . Aside from getting as good, or better, a shave as I did hot, I cut 15 or 20 minutes off of my shave time. Not that I'm in a hurry. Just mentioning that as one of the things I like about it.
Yea, that was funny at the time but you know you southerners have been getting bigger dumps that us the last few years. The weather patterns have been a bit strange for a while now. We'll take whatever breaks we can get though.

Yea, I'm with Jimmy on the no fuss no muss part in cutting prep time out, it is the shave I enjoy not the other stuff. You can still do an uber lather too as using cold water has had no adverse effect on how well any of my soaps/creams p;produce lather.

Well I just tried the cold shave thing, very abnormal. Is it better?? Maybe, DFS today.I like it,but than again,I do not like it.
Will try it again in a couple days,I think it is a good thing but no clue as to why.
I would love to give it a try, but in an RV, the water you get out of the cold tap depends on outside temps. 2weeks ago we just used the cold tap to shower in no hot necessary, guess I'll have to wait on winter.
Well, what the hay...I gotta shave tonight anyways.
