Thread: Missed (a perfect shave) by that much!

Perfect, ever? Maybe. Perfect always, I guess not. Nine months down the road and perfection isn't something I'm looking for anymore. The truly BBS, silky smooth in all places and all directions, has evaded all but a few very focused best efforts. In the end I am happy for a great, irritation-free shave and the straight razor delivers all the time. My shave time is down and my enjoyment is up.

While I am not out of questions I am out of shaving problems. No more nick-a-week or even nick-a-month anymore. Strops are working fine, abrasives do what they're supposed to and honing all but problem edges is fairly routine now.

Just a quick "thank you!" for all the kind members who have offered so much help and guidance.

I just read through this entire thread (don't tell my boss) lots of cool tips and tricks buried in here.. can't wait for my first razor to arrive so I can start on the adventure myself.
