    Default Skin Question, a stretch...

As someone not too long ago pointed out, as we get older we have to get a little more creative in stretching the skin for straight shaving. I saw someone using a little cloth to anchor the stretching point and I have now just read that alum can keep the finger(s) from slipping. I am now using a small cloth but it is unsatisfying and counters the simplicity of the shave for me. It does work but sometimes I have to fool around with it too much to get the right position.
Does anyone have any other creative solutions to stop the slippage when stretching?

Razor-sharp lather placement + dry hand(s). It can be done with or without a barber towel over your shoulder. Not very creative but it works for me with, eh-hmmm, older skin and a Grand Canyon deep scar on my throat. The scar caused me to work hard on stretching technique.

Not sure it's creative but you could get a long, deep throat scar to help you improve your methodology. Nah...

Super Glue? Creative enough for you? Sorry. Seriously though, have you tried rubbing your fingers on a block of Alum to help with your grip?

Yeah, super glue, that's the ticket....permanently mount some small columns at key locations, thanks!

You need that alien skin stretching machine they had in that Star Trek Movie. That will solve all your problems.

I think I saw a pic of that scar, that was some wicked looking scar and in a place that says wrong place wrong time or surgery in some rough country.
