Default Wilkinson Pall Mall Full German Hollow

Just had a shave with the Wilkinson Pall Mall, German Full Hollow. It was a 3 razor set case, one razor missing.

So I pulled one of these little things out and had a go:

And for a smaller razor, think they're 3/8th, it was probably one of the better shave's I've had. Lots of feedback, great control, and a BBS shave after two passes. No cuts, no red, just close and enjoyable.

I've not read much about smaller razors like this, so it was a nice surprise.

Anyone else have any experiences with blades this size?

    Thanks!

Once you get below 4/8s they can get very difficult to hold on to while shaving and honing and stropping. 3/8s and 2/8s razors are usually thought of as trim razors for doing trim work and getting into difficult places. They have never been very popular.

    Thanks - that makes sense.

Shaved for the first time with one of these this morning and it was a great shave. Being that they came in a case I wonder if possibly it's meant as a travel razor? Either way, I was quite pleased and I guess it makes the point YMMV. I have some full hollows and aside from my DD Goldedge (sheesh that blade is thin!), this razor sang loud and clear '-)!

    Cheers!

I'm all for the smaller sizes. My preferred is 4/8. I feel I have greater control and maneuverability. Good looking razors there.
