    Default Get a grip

I've seen a lot of other peoples videos on their shaving techniques and also seen a lot of questions posed frequently about how to shave ATG in challenging spots on the neck. I've posted a couple ways that I've used to get better leverage and angles during my shave and sometimes it helps someone out.

Anyone else have any special ways they hold the razor to get into tough areas and do what others may have given up on?

I tried the grip and it works great for me. Everyone with the side growing hair should try this grip. Got BBS on neck in all directions. Awesome!

I also have a small razor that I cut down that works great for this too. It was an eBay special with a badly chipped toe.

Glad to hear there's another convert. The side growing hair on the neck seems to be a very common problem. Every week I read a post about how to nail this. I'm glad it helped you.

Funny I read this today. I cut my chin this morning thinking about how I do it while shaving instead of just doing it. I have to remember to try things on an evening shave when I am not in regular going to work mode. It's not a hurried mode but it is a set routine that gets it done with no wasted time. Only been at this 10 months and set in my ways :<0) Evenings is when I play around and usually on a day off. I will give it a try.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanks for the tips, but I don't have the b@lls to shave ATG with my straight. I tried it 2 years ago, as I placed the razor against my neck, I froze,,,then stared at myself in the mirror for a minute. I decided that WTG would do just fine.

LOL! You can do it. To be honest, I don't recall ever really cutting myself going ATG. Try ATG on a side burn where the main cables are far away.

It seems to help a lot of guys who try it after struggling with that side to side beard pattern. Its a little awkward at first but you get the hang of it quickly.
