Thread: Progressing Along

I decided to hold off shaving for three days so I could get a feeling how my Gold Bug I got from gssixgun last week will shave my beard. To my surprise it was just as effortless and smooth as a daily shave! I am still hesitant to venture on to my upper lip and chin. My wife walked by just as I was gonna get the double edge out to finish the job. Impressed by the smoothness of the str8, she suggested that I put the Gillette away and simply grow a goatee! Am I lucky or what ???

Hello Roy,
We're having a beautiful early autumn day here in New England. I had this afternoon to do whatever, so I took plenty of time to prep and shave. I really like the resonant sound of the str8 shave. I'm starting to develop comfortable hand/finger positions on the razor that corresponds with the many contours of my face. So far, no nicks from the Gold Bug, but I am being very careful.
I am watching loads of vids, some many times over. It is surprising that I pick up on something the second time around that I didn't see before. Loads of information available. Glad I found SRP.
