Thread: First Nick-Free Straight Shave!

I finally managed to do 3 full passes without drawing blood! I am stoked!!! I did finish off the upperlip area with my mach 3, and it was so irritating! I can hardly beleive that I used to use that thing over my entire face for the past 20 plus years! My face has never felt better! I guess what I'm saying is that I'm going with straights for the long haul.

I do have a quick question in regards to uberlather. I feel like I'm getting the mixture right because the lather is very thick and creamy on the first pass. The second and third passes, not so much. Its still shaveable, but not as thick, and I can see my face through it. What gives?

I have had the same experience. I found that this is caused by insufficient water in the lather. If you will lightly dip the tip of your brush in warm water and and apply it it to your face, you can re- hydrate the lather and you are off tho the races!
