I'm kind of embarrassed now, I guess I misunderstood what BBS meant. ATG on your off hand cheek has been a real challenge for me.

I have found straight shaves are more effective and comfortable with 3 days growth. My theory is that the longer beard holds more water and is thus softer than what is possible for a one day growth.

With rare exception I usually only shave once a week (Sunday). I'm lucky enough to have a job that doesn't require me to maintain my appearance that thoroughly. Besides, my beard growth isn't that fast, and I can usually get to Wed/Thurs before anybody really notices. At which point, I usually find myself in a discussion similar to this:
