Just dry it off with paper and let the water in the pivot dry out, or do I need to oil it, or use hairdryer or....?

I dry mine off as best as I can. If it is wet in the pivot blow the water out. Keep a real light coat of oil on the pivot. Then I strop about 10-15 passes on each side of the blade to get any excess water off the edge.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I do it.
I've never oiled any razor in my rotation.
Low humidity paired with a dry place for storage has kept mine spot free for years.

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Wonder if baby oil stops rust. Any know?

I only have olive oil and motoroil/wd40. And don't want it to smell when I use it.

Yeah definitely don't use motor oil. The olive oil would work, but it's more viscous than what I use. Our bathroom is often cold in the mornings, and I think olive oil would gum up. I have a bottle of Classic Shaving brand oil that came with my Hart razors. It works great, but others might have a better suggestion. It's just what I use, and it does a good job.

I clean of the soap residue with hot water, wrap a towel around the spine and dry it and then strop it quickly to make sure the edge is dry.
No oil needed here, my razors are all ok.

Even though I haven't shaved with my own razor yet, after polishing the entire straight razor I also used hot water afterwards and wrapped it gently in a tower en used that to dry it. Though I still need to make a strop and learn to use it, anyone has a good recommendation for leather choice?

I've followed the recommendations of some members who use Renaissance wax. I carefully dry up my razor with a clean cloth or tissue, strop it a few times and then apply a light coat of RW. I then buff it off completely. This brings the steel to a nice shine and keeps it well protected. This stuff is used by museum curators so it has been field tested extensively.
