What is happenning here?

I have been straight razor shaving for about 10 months now and have gone through most of the stages/frustrations that most people report, but the latest one has me beat. For the past couple of weeks, when I shave particularly on the first pass very little stubble is removed (compared to the past) and even when I have done 3 passes I can still see places where the stubble remains (shorter, but it's still there), must admit it's got me beat, I'm aware that I'm possibly asking a question like how long is a piece of string, but I would like to know what you gentlemen think. It made matters worse after I watched gssixguns video on knowing if your blade is sharp when he just in one stroke removed all the stubble.

May be time to refresh your edge. 10 months is a good while without a refresh.

Subed I'm also in that zone. I'm thinking it's the bevel.

I have thought maybe the edge needs refreshing, but I have a rotation, so each blade only gets used about twice a week.

Aside from a refresh...I might say you've rolled an edge while stropping?

Do you have any type of pastes for a touch up?

I have a Ezy Edge hone which i used for the first time yesterday on one of my razors that was tugging (I had never tried doing a refresh before, only used the strop) and I shaved with it today, no tugging, but no major improvement in terms of stubble removal.

Definitely an edge that needs some love ie honing.

Am I correct in assuming that your Ezy Edge hone is a barber's hone? How many laps did you do?

Yes it's a barbers hone, I did 8 laps.

You're edge might have slipped beyond the capabilities of a barbers hone....
