    Default shaving a full beard.

Shaved a full beard with a straight razor. Found out its a lot of work. Should have trimmed it down first.

Shaved your full beard!?! Yes, could be a lot of work, unless you have Jedi Powers with a straight

    Heh, I'm quite the opposite.
Nothing gives me more pleasure than plowing down whiskers that have been around for a bit.
Just the other day I went at my mo'stache, what a delight!!

Short, buffing strokes will mow it down regardless of lenght in my experience.

Other than having to wipe the blade off more for me it is no different.
    It is just Whisker Whacking
    Relax and Enjoy!

When shaving at skin level, how does the blade know what length of hair it is cutting?

I actually just shaved yesterday after doing " no shave November "

The razor actually felt like if was gliding thru my whiskers lol smooth and didn't leave any whiskers behind... Here's some pics
