    What is clear is anything goes when it comes to using them. What I wonder when they are using both sides is are they simply using both sides interchangeably or are they switching for specific reasons.

    My eyes are not great, so I could easily be mistaken, but it looks like a Kamisori style shavette, that is being used.

    Yep, you're right! It was the first thing I noticed - one of the Feather AC non-folders, I think.

    They're used differently from what we think of as 'traditional' kamisori - the ones with the asymmetric grind.

    However, even among the 'traditional' kamisori, there seem to be as many ways to hone and use them as there are honers and users.

    As with all else shaving-related: I chose to watch the videos, read the instructions, and then do what works for me.
