    I think my grey beard is tougher than when I was younger but then as I get older I don't remember things as well.

    I'm a Grey beard to, turn 50 this year, and after 20 of those years in the military, I think my beard is the same as when I was 30.

    Smile Returning to the problem- solved

    Gentlemen,
    As was suspected early in this thread the problem was with the sharpness of the razors. As i mentioned in another thread one of my nephews has starting using a straight razor and i loaned him a couple of my dubl ducks.
    It seems that before he decided on which ones he wanted he tried them all. So my guess is that he rolled the edges on them and this was the root of the problem. i finally had time take them to the norton and bench hone and on saturday i did a test shave with 4 of them and they worked perfectly.
    Yes 4 razor were used on the WTG pass but the last a wonderedge was used for the rest of the shave. nice and smooth.
