Leg Shave
My wife suddenly informs me last night she wants me to shave her legs with one of the straights. Is this a good idea or not, are they up to doing leg hair? I assume the preparation would be the same with lather etc.
I have offered all the girls at work to do their bikini lines for them, but as yet have had no takers.

another member told me that his wife shaves her legs with a straight on occasion. I don't think that it could hurt, save money on venus cartridges.

Yes, with bikini line prep is the key. You need to numb the area well.......

num num... Ha ha! Yeah that was funny.
Seriously, though, it can be done. I've shaved my wife's legs a few times with a straight razor. First principle -- as always -- light touch. Next, getting comfortable enough to shave her without the tactile feedback received shaving oneself. Go with the grain the first pass, maybe the second too.
Do not drink before doing this -- like one poor guy did.

You know, John, based on my experience with honing on my paddle strop, and looking at the lack of hair on both of my forearms, you might consider holding off on the 'full-on' leg shave, and see if you can talk her into doing the 'honing-test' thing....I mean, heck, based on my forearms, she'll get to where she wants to be....eventually!
"H-o-o-o-n-e-y!!..Come here for a minute!"
Although, my wife wants nothing to do with the idea, and, after my test on his tail, the cat is steering well clear of me, too!
(...now he looks like a big RAT....never liked the damn thing, anyway)

Thanked: 0John,
I say go for it! Put on some soft music, maybe light a candle or two. Use nice, hot lather, and wipe off slowly with a hot towel. Massage in some nice smelling lotion or oil. (Warm it by rubbing it in your hands first.) Go slowly and carefully. Start low down and work your way up, until she tells you to stop. (She may not.) Make sure you have some free time afterwards just in case. Be very careful around the knees and ankles.
It always used to work for me.
