    Default Shave in Middle East

I want to thank ForestryProf for the very sharp razor he sold me. It was honed very nicely. A lot better than the new Dovo straight out of the box that was suspose to be shave ready. Now I have something to compare it too.
I woke up this evening (I work night) and took a good hot shower
Using Colonel Conk shaving soap, built the lather on my face
Went to town with the nice, sharp razor
On the first pass, I went down on the face and neck
Relathered, and then went up on the face and neck
There was no pullin like when I was using the Dovo
After the shave, rinsed off with hot water. Followed up with cold water.
After analyzing my shave, I realized I could hit the chin and lower neck a little better. But not to bad as far as first shave goes. I just do not want to have any razor burn. I took this first shave to carefully keep my angle @30 degrees or less, whip up a good lather, and not push to hard on the skin.
Maybe not the best post as far as a shave goes, but I am hooked.
Thanks for all the info on this subject.

    Bryan,
Glad the razor arrived in good shape, but I want to go on the record here and now as being in no way shape of form responsible for your impending addictions. I fully expect that within the next month or so you will have spent your entire salary on razors, hones, brushes, creams, soaps, aftershaves...etc.

    NOT MY FAULT!!!

I am however, more than willing to continue to enable. Remember, don't blame the pusher, we're just the supplier. If there was no demand, we'd be out of a job.

    Cheers,
    Ed

    Default oh GOD!

    Ed,
Your so right. I have already spent my monthly allotment on goodies. I will start a group of DE and Straight Razor Addicts. If it grows, shave it. I am now looking forward to the next day just so I can try different ways of shaving or whipping up shaving cream. Luckily I have about 7 months to bring it under control before my wife sees me again. But then again, I may have to many razors to bring home in my duffel bag. We will just have to see.
    Take care,
    Bryan

Oh brother another one bites the dust. lol. This is so addictive because at first you get hit with smaller bites. $20 for an ebay razor, $35 for shaving cream, then $75 for a brush and before you know it your broke....
