When i did movember i just used a magnifying mirror to get a good view of what i was doing, and went slowly, i could get individual hairs like this, but maybe on a day to day basis it might be time consuming. I suspect that you want more than need a new razor
Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast

I have a goatee and I shave with round point only, the growth pattern on my neck is left to right, so ATG is going sideways. Using a spike point will probably result in a BBS + tracheostomy. I use the whole of the blade to shape: going toward the edge of the beard to define it, and from that line outward to clean it. But my beard and mustache are not separated...
Was actually thinking about a kami, but I'm a southpaw, as well. So I need to find a left handed one...

    And a barbers notch.

Personally, I sport a 'circle beard', and happily use a round point (Kropp 5/8), spike point (C.V.Heljestrand frameback) and a... er... Mandarin (?) blade (A&W Arbenz frameback). With practice and care, I've been able to maintain my beard shape without much trouble.
