A few days ago I was hit in the face by a line drive. The hit broke my cheekbone and eye socket. I'm feeling okay and have surgery scheduled for next week, but I'm not lookin' too pretty. This morning I noticed that a shave was long overdue, but because of swelling, loss of feeling, and an inability to see very well out of my right eye, I *sigh* left the straight blade alone and Bic-ed my face. Bummer.

Anyone else have a story to share about hanging up your straight blade for a disposable? My tale of woe stems from traumatic face injury, but I'm curious about any and all other reasons that SR shavers have had to stop for any period of time.

I'll update once my peripheral vision allows the the bumpy, prickly, bic madness to stop and I can scrape my face the right way again.
