Thread: Best shave so far!

Hi guy's,
I just wanted to share this mornings shave with you all. Firstly, I am new to the straight shaving thing, so I am still very much learning (usually DE shave).
Well, I whipped up some C&E Almond oil lather, put a hot towel on and grabbed my new J.A Henckles razor that I bought from Altima55 on eBay (Thanks Bob!).
I had been itching to use this razor for over a week, and Oh, was I happy?
I did 3 passes and a bit of tidying up, and got the best BBS straight shave I have had yet!
I just can't wait for the stubble to grow back, so I can do it all again!

congrats!!! as a relative newbie myself I have yet to take the 3rd Pass. How long before you got BBS?

Hi Amyn,
I have been tinkering with straights for a little while on and off. I mostly only shave with the straight on weekends as I don't have the time on weekdays. Sunday was my first 'true' BBS shave, and with no redness, irritation, razor-burn at all. I would have to say that it's probably taken me at least 15 straight shaves before this latest 'Best' shave. As I have found out quite a few times with different things though, that doesn't mean that I won't have worse times shaving in the future. Maybe my experience was part good luck as well as the correct angles, preparation and so on. I was totally amazed by my own shaving work, and will strive to get the same effect more frequently if not every time .
