Default half rattler - what are they comparable to?

I was wondering what a half rattler was like to shave with, are they similar to a hollow or frameback, or are they more akin to a wedge?
Sorry if this is silly quesion. i imagine it would be more like a hollow but with some extra weight and stiffness, but obviously thats just a guess, so i was hoping anyone who has used one could shed some light.
    Thank you

Bread and water can so easily become tea and toast
