36 hrs seems to be my sweet zone as well, I prefer to shave at night so as not to be rushed.

Pretty much the same, when i am not at work i shave at whatever time of day suits, but at work its evening shaves, i just get up too early to have a pleasant shav in the morning, but 36 hours is a good interval.

I'm a little bit weird I guess my work requires clean shaven so that my SCBA seals to my face, so I shave every day , now I only do my neck area every other day , it gets irritated if I really get it smooth two days in a row ,, it works for me. Tc

Tight trimmed moustache, clean on the rest remnants of military and NFD (Novi Fire Department) days.
I miss my time as an on call Firefighter/EMT, but I hated rebuilding the Scotts regulators.
What is it that you do that requires SCBA ?

I too am an every other day shaver. I have a course beard with somewhat sensitive skin (just under the jawline) so every other day is a tad more comfortable on the skin. Plus, when I was in the army, having to shave every day made it feel like chore... whereas shaving every other day makes it feel more like a luxury and something to look forward to.

Daily, evening shaver mostly. When I can skip one day I prefer it.

Pfries, I work in the oilfield in a high H2S area, so it is best to always be ready, and you being a fireman know of the gas I'm talking about, my respect goes to you first responders, my son is a paramedic fireman in St. Louis , one of these days us Tn folks should have a get together. Any way off topic , ,, but if my razors are sharp everyday is what I do just over the jaw , that way I can go every other day on the neck alone. Tc

I've noticed this as well, if I wait a day the shave is much better than if I shave daily. The shorter my whiskers are, the harder it is to get them off. Not sure why this is, but it is what it is.

Occasionally I'll shave on back to back days, but for the most part every other day does the trick for me.
