I hate you all
Hate may be a bit strong, how about loath or despise as appropriate adjectives. I was quite happy in my blissful ignorance about shaving in general and SR shaving more specifically until you guys came along and ruined it all for me. I have been shaving with a SR since puberty when my Grandfather taught me and since then I have shaved with just about everything under the sun. I have used whale blubber, lard, hand soap, canned shaving cream and more often than not, just plain old water as a lubricant for shaving and been quite content at that... But. Ever since I started participating on this site and reading about all the different lotions, lathers, soaps and powders and all the fragrances that go along with them I have decided to try a few. I just received my order from Maggards, I hate them too, of Proraso red in the sandalwood and a big batch of samplers to try before deciding, low and behold, my whole world has flipped upside down. Normally, I am extremely sensitive to what my nose tells me are strong odors and so I tend to avoid heavy fragrances at all cost because they send me into convulsions of gagging, not so with the Proraso. I had half expected to receive my order only to open it up to find that I would not be able to live with it and have to give it to my Father-in-law who shaves with a DE. But Noooooo, I had to pre-treat with the shave oil and then lather up with the sandlewood and get one of the best shaves I have had in a long time, not since shaving with whale blubber. Now, dang it, I have to start looking at all the other stuff that is out there lurking to separate me from my hard earned money just to have a fabulous shaving experience. I hate you all, Lynn especially.

What would we call it? The acronym would have to spell out something cool.

Ah, welcome to SRP again. And welcome to a new disease to suffer from - razor envy. As your dislikes grow, and you are exposed to the masses of razors owned by various members you will be able to narrow your hate down to a specific few. These are members with thick skin and can handle the vitriol directed at them. Be careful, tho, in your negative bombardment of them. The old saw, modified, holds true here: To know them is to join them. The only known cure is to become infected with greed and join them in their endeavors. In this case it has a beneficial effect in that, in this situation only, cures hate and replaces it with love, understanding and comradeship in the adoration of sharp objects.

I'll bet whale blubber is harder to get than ivory. I'm a little jealous.

I like R*A*Z*O*R. URN makes me think of a container filled with the ashes and slag of cremated razors, may they rest in nature.
