Free beer and a shave
As some of you know I'm preparing to go to barber school, to gain experience I've continued my old practice of haircuts for tips. Well recently I've expanded my offerings to a hot shave and a beer. Meaning that if my friends let me shave them I give them a beer. At first I had very few takers, but as time has passed (and the temperature has risen) I've had more takers. Its gotten to the point of last weekend I did six shaves on sunday and have been told I'm getting closer shaves than the area barbers. I fully admit it takes me longer that the barber, but the guys don't seem to mind. Does anyone have any tips, tricks or resources for shaving others?
Thanks for all the help gents,
Grim

You have to get them drunk before they let you shave them? It would take more than one beer for me

Keep refining the technique to be precise and effecient. Don't speed up. Just work at a comfortable speed and keep improving as you gain a physical memory of it.

Start a new policy of; a free haircut & shave for a six pack of beer,,,,, put all the beer in a cooler of ice & charge a $1.50 a beer as they wait in line for the haircut. Buy the time they get to the chair, they will have drank a few already.

Thanked: 8Awesome idea. Don't worry about speed yet. I've enjoyed the shaves from barbers and considered it equivalent to a woman getting a manicure: relaxing.
