First time post here, just thought I would share my experience quickly. I just had my first shave with a fixed straight, after moving from a disposable one. All I can say is, wow, what an amazing difference. The shave felt pretty different, the fixed blade did not feel as sharp (either due to my lack of stropping skills or the Teflon coating on the disposable blades), but the end result is miles ahead. Not a bit of irritation in sight and feeling just as smooth. Wish I had skipped the disposable and gone straight to the straight, no pun intended.
