Like many I scoured this site for info on non dominant shaving. I was right hand shaving for a while to get the feeling (2 - 3 months) then started shaving with the non dominant hand. The only problems I have now is the left nostril because of the obtuse angle, everything else is fine. If you are going to start, I think it is beneficial starting early on.
A good lather is half the shave.

I am right handed and when I first started SR shaving I worried that I would not be able to shave left handed. It came very easy and in fact I do better with it. I now use both hands without worry or accidents. It is all about muscle memory

Many shavers have noted that when they switched to using their non-dominant hand they got a closer, better shave in that area. I believe that is so because you are super aware of the non-dominant hand at first and go easy and carefully till muscle memory sets in and you forget what hand you are using because it had become automatic.
At least that was my experience. I didn't realize I had fully adapted till I found that I was nicking myself equally with either hand. No joke (that's what comes of hurrying a shave)."The sharpening stones from time to time provide officers with gasoline."

I started out using both hands, and was actually more comfortable with the left hand. Now I want to learn how to shave the entire face with either hand! That way, if one hand is out of commission, I can still get a straight shave.
