Thread: 12 Shaves In

I have shaved every day since I got my Ralf Aust except for one ( after my 3rd shave massacre). I love straight shaving. I really do. Some days I feel like I got it down and then the next I wonder how I did so poorly when previous shaves were better. Luckily I havent gotten irritation since my third shave. I think the best thing Ive learned is knowing when to say Im good, try again tomorrow. I have a long way to go, and I will be so proud once Ive gotten to a consistent point in straight shaving. Needless to say my shaves are not horrible, I just feel they can and will eventually be a lot better. When I use to use cartridge razors I could not touch my neck after I shaved. When my collar would touch my neck it hurt like hell. Using a DE or even a straight has allowed me to rid myself of that pain. Anyways thanks for reading and all the help Ive recieved from you all through either questions Ive asked or advice ive found.

It just keeps getting better. The curve lightens up typically around 100 shaves and you will have almost everything down pat by then, followed by an occasional ahha moment.
