Am I imagining this?
I have been shaving with straights for about 2 years now, lately it seems to me my whiskers seem to be either denser, growing quicker or more difficult to shave to bbs. Tell me I'm wrong!

Thanked: 4828Our beards are ever changing. At various points in our lives our bodies change a little here and a little there, perhaps the change was going to happen no matter what your grooming choices have been.

HAHA I was thinking a similar thing this week also as my stubble felt like if was stiffer or harder & even my hair felt like it yesterday
I'm putting it down to being Summer since it started on Monday also
Coincidence? I think notSaved,

I noticed this as well. I don't think my stubble has changed, I think I just pay more attention, now.
Let's face it, before traditional wet shaving, all I was looking for was to mow it down fast enough to get done as quickly as possible, and be passable publicly. I know I spend a lot more time and attention now. And I think it's logical to notice things we missed before, and think them new. MHO.Last edited by SRNewb; 12-05-2014 at 05:56 PM.

Does this happen with all razors in your rotation? I do not think BBS ever......makes shaving take too long as certain areas seem to stay HBB unless I attack them from 6 directions. The end of my shave is not just after I shave but say, a half hour later about 18" from the mirror.

Hey FrankD, I have been str8 shaving for about the same time. I noticed that I am getting a bit over confident with the blade. I have been plonking the edge on my face and breaking the skin with little nicks. I am going to try and take it a bit slower just to make sure that I have started the movement before I put blade to skin.
A good lather is half the shave.
