If it's a spike, you may have dug it in, without noticing it. However, take the blade under some mag first, on both sides, just to make sure it isn't really damaged.

Even faster test, or if you don't have a magnifying glass, is the wet thumb-nail test.
Wet your thumb nail and very lightly drag the edge along it. You should feel a slight, smooth, uniform pull from the sharp blade. You'll know if something's off.

But you will need to touch up the blade after that.

Are you sure you didn't move your head? I say this because I did this on one of my shaves. I'm not experienced, but I know enough not to move the razor, but a even a slight move of the head would cause this.

Its those little demons that attach themselves to the blade and make your hand do mysterious things. When I started straight shaving I would closely watch myself shaving and do crazy dumb moves with the razor I didn't realize I was doing and didn't want to do. Thats how I got my first cuts. If you can't find any defect in the edge thats the answer.
