I have been letting mine go for around 2 years now. The surgeon is saying I have less than one mm of tendon connected yet and it could snap at any minute. But regardless I'm not looking forward to it.

I grew a beard after my RC repair.

I had the same tear as you, plus two other high grade tears and two complete disconnections... On my dominant side. Recover sucked. Using a straight razor was out of the question.
