Would it be less frustrating to send it to one of the pro's for honing? That way the flow of adult beverages is not interupted, and you get a great new edge.

Thanked: 481The thought has crossed my mind...True it would be less frustrating, but it would also be less rewarding.

I had a W&B 6/8 wedge that I spent hours on and when I finally shaved with it the shave was terrible !! I finally did check the edge and saw the micro chipping almost the whole edge !! started to hone again and cut my finger !! my love hate has turned to just hate as it hasn't been touched since ..lol

Thanked: 4822I think if you actually want to destroy you you can't just throw it any old cliff. You have to travel to Mount Doom and throw it into the fiery depths. A cliff. Pffftt You really haven't thought this through have you?

I don't find it less rewarding to shave with a blade that has been honed by someone else ,, because its about the SHAVE, and great edges are what makes the shave fantastic, good luck sorting it out ,, I don't even know why I commented, I must think on a different level, about the satisfaction part tc

Thanked: 481Typically I'm inclined to agree, but I have 2 other razors that are honed properly. This isn't about the shave, it's personal...
Rezdog - no I hadn't thought it out...I'm liking this mount doom suggestion though. Seems like an appropriate place to dispose of stubborn razors.
Gooser - I'm getting close to a hate/hate relationship with it lol.
