Thread: Leg shaving..

Ok ladies ring in please.

So my wife tends to "speed shave" in the shower then complains about razor burn. Some days I think she could set a record.

I have thought about introducing her to shaving with a straight razor for a few reasons, a better shave, slowing her down and potentially avoiding "speed burns", maybe longer times between shaves??

So ladies ring in here, I am all ears.. Lend me your opinions, advice, recommendations... etc...

Adam I hope the ladies do chime in for you. That being said I suggest you offer to shave her to let her relax an see how good a shave it is. I started shaving my girlfriends legs when she was pregnant an couldn't do it comfortably. She asked if I would an I said yes but only with a straight. She was nervous but agreed. There has been no looking back an she now loves the straight razor shave. good luck.

I bought my good lady an Edwin Jagger DE and shave brush set and some DR Harris rose shave cream. She loves using them and taking her time over shaving her legs and swears they've never been smoother.

This is how I got my gal into straights, started out shaving her legs etc. for her, she loved the attention but really loved how smooooth her legs felt after.
After a few sessions I challenged her to take the blade herself and she was off and running. She really enjoys the challenge.
Now she shaves every couple of days with her own razors, A Fili, Friodur and a few C.V.Heljesrands. along with a custom brush and her own girly scented soaps are all in her rotation.
Now I get the benefit of her smooth legs and all I have to do is keep her razors honed up for her.

My wife asked me to shave her legs with a SR so I did. She watched and now shaves with a SR by herself and loves it. She has been doing it now for about 8 months and I don't see her going back. The real benefit for me is she now appreciates all the shave crèmes and soaps I buy

This is too funny. My wife has been asking me to shave her legs so I did it a couple of days ago. She has some bumps on her legs so I did nick her legs in a very few places. I used a straight razor and when I was done she asked, " already?" She enjoyed it so much! She has shakey hands so she does not want to even use a DE razor thinking that she would cut herself all to pieces. Just saying!

As a lady myself I can say almost all women are guilty of speed shaving at some point. I have REALLY sensitive skin and just started using a SR and man what a difference! I kinda blew off a male friend of mine who swore that a SR would work wonders for me, then I let him shave me with all the extra prep that he does. Now I'm doing it on my own and throwing out the cartridges.
