Music to me is very distracting. I don't dislike music but I don't multitask very well.....

Just finished listening to Barry White while shaving (- staying power -you're the only one I need - you're my everything- never gonna give you up). showing my age I guess but his music brings out a very smooth rhythm to the shave!!!!!

There are some things that I like to do with the 'sounds of silence.' Shaving, riding bicycles on and off road, brisk walking in the morning. Background music is okay if I were in a movie, but in real life I enjoy music when I'm actually listening with full attention. YMMV.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
