Thread: First full . . .

I've managed thirty shaves with my Straights, but never a full shave . . . until tonight. Complete face shave and down onto my neck and throat. not BBS . . . hell not even close to it . . . but an agreeable level of smooth and an acceptable level of irritation. I have a few kinks to work out, but the DE will see service only to polish my dome from here on out.

Congrats! I remember the fear and trepidation I had when I finally made the leap to shaving everything—my lip and chin were the hardest. I wish you continued success and greater levels of comfort and closeness my friend!

The neck will come , and there is no rule says you got to get BBS on the neck, I usually do a one pass on my neck, with a little touch up , might feel stubble but it doesn't show , and I shave every day . But unless it's something special I, don't chase the ultimate shave I,m into this to "shave" and even a 1 pass quick shave with a straight does a better job than any crap their selling today, just stay at it and remember comfort is the key, that's why a properly honed and stropped razor is so important , don't need to keep going over it so much to get that DFS.
