Daniel Peres? Is the tang stamp for those a barrel?

Have one downstairs, standard 5/8, very nicely hollow ground I might add as well.

But with razors, for all I know there could be many razors marked, "Peres".....:-)

Well, hollow grinds tend to be a bit complicated with anything narrower than 6/8ths, but you know that.

Really? That's intriguing. Have you got any proof for that?

Just for the record, this is not the most extreme hollow grind I have ever encountered. But the most consistent.

I believe I have a D Peres kicking around somewhere and iirc it is nicely hollow ground. Hard to believe it could be any more hollow ground than my Ewald Plumacher made Blue Wonder or a couple of other in my rotation.

Lovely razor but it is a fool's game to argue about which is the most hollow ground razor. There appear to be a few that fall into possible consideration so it comes to splitting hairs. You'll know an extremely hollow ground razor the minute you shave with it by the sound and by how flexible the blade is when lightly pushed side ways. Yes, you could measure but that is just a little too scientific for me.

I have one and it's a fine razor alright but so are a thousand and one other vintage razors out there.

I think any claim that any one razor is heads above others requires some detailed evidence.

Was just pure speculation, but if you had of said if was another, "Peres", wouldn't have been shocked, was just guessing
    .

I'll have to go down and look for it, here's an old pic.

Thanks, tonights razor, if found, is selected...

Excellent choice. Do some research on Daniel Peres's history. He is arguably the most interesting Solingen razor maker. Seriously. And yes, I should never have sold that Regina
