Red face SRP Straight Razors! Thanks!

I ordered a Ralf Aust 6/8 French point with snakewood scales from SRP and got it in yesterday. All I can say is WOW! To whomever it is that hones these blades....fantastic! Hands down beat my Dovo shave by far. I love the extra weight of the blade and the point makes it so much easier to do the touch-ups around the side burns and nose area. As I was trying to figure out the difference in the two and why the Ralf Aust was so awesome I did notice an area on the Dovo edge that looks to be flat a bit? Not sure if that's the right wording or not, but it proved one thing to me. Later I want to learn to hone my own blades to repeat this awesome shave I got this morning.

Thanks to those at SRP for making my Ralf Aust a truly inevitable experience.

That would be Straight Razor Designs, aka SRD. And I would be mildly surprised if Lynn had to hone any of them prior to shipping them. I have yet to come across an Aust which is not "shave ready" out of the box. Ralf delivers quality. Dovo razors are in a different league entirely.

My apologies, I was in a hurry this morning after the shave to get to work. As requested. In the pics this is right out of the package, so there is still some protective lube on the blade.

I'm really enjoying the added weight to this as well as the shorter blade length. It seems to just fit my hand and face better.

    That's a nice looking razor! I don't own a French point- yet.

Those French tips certainly are a draw to me, they just look right, may end up with a safe full of them.

Thanks for the pics Charlie. Super fine looking Ralph Razor you got there.

I also like my SRD Ralf Aust French Point. The RA blades are ground slightly thinner than normal EH. I'd call their blades EH+ or near EH. Their blades ping almost like an EH and delivers similiar shaves.
