Thanked: 3I am getting the sense that oil-free is clearly the way to go. Do you all know if the AOS aftershave moisturizer has oil in it?
Also, I read somewhere that there are folks who combine an astringent such as witch hazel with a moisturizer afterwards. Does anybody have experience with this with acne-prone skin?

My skin is acne prone.
I use an alum bar right after the shave, let sit for 5 minutes,,,, dab off with wet towel,,,, then heavy with witch hazel,,, then let it dry,,, then comes the Pinaud.

I have similar skin and I find that preshaves make almost no difference except for another couple minutes of face massage. After a shave I swear by cold water, witch hazel, then Nivea or Trumpers skin food.
I also find that I usually need to do space out my shaves to every other day.

Thanked: 3Turns out Witch Hazel is hard to find in Mexico... However, I am pretty sure where I can find it (only it won't be Thayers). I could not find any with Aloe...
Thanks everyone for helping out... this is certainly useful for me, probably for a lot of others as well!
