I can always tell on my first pass. When I stretch the skin on my jawline to do my neck if the stubble feels more pronounced beneath my fingers in an area already shaved I know it is time for a touch up. I never wait for pulling tugging or discomfort. Takes me all of 2 minutes to refresh at this point.
