    Default First Wedge Shave

So I just had my first shave with a wedge (this razor here).

It was a smooth and rough. It's kind of hard to describe. The first thing I noticed after honing was the way it felt on the strop, very different. The blade is long than any of my other razors and also much heavier.

The shave was nice enough, a bit of skin irritation and I managed to cut myself as well, nothing bad, a bit of blood underneath my lip. (that was my error, as all cuts are). The razor didn't feel balanced at all, and it jumped around a bit.

I've only ever shaved with full or extra hollow razors so I'm willing to chalk it up to inexperience because it really did feel like a good shave. Very close and a very easy shave.

Either way, I'm willing to give it another go because I think the skin irritation will fade with some more stropping (I have no hones between 3K and my Escher) because that's exactly what happened with my Bengall Full Hollow and I'm pretty sure learning to use the wedge will correct a lot of the issues I have, all except the balance.

    6.5/10 overall experience everything considered.
