Its ok DE's have their limitation and a straight will always come through. For instance today was the first time that I shaved for 3 weeks...I had to use my 12/8's...try that with a DE lol....but ya...I hope your conscience catches up with you

I think it is forgivable. I tend to use my DE on a daily basis, reserving my straight razors for the weekend or days off when I can take the time and enjoy my shave.

The DE do a good enough job to get me out of the bath room quickly so that the misses can spend 1 1/2 hours complaining about her hair. LOL!

DE on most workdays (part-time these days so it isn't often) if time is a factor. Straight when I have ample time. BBS is the goal and the time is enjoyable. Never commando!

Lately I've been doing as you have, monte.

I simply don't make enough time for a straight razor shave in the morning before work, so I find myself reaching for the DE, which I was only introduced to after I started straight razor shaving, so I guess I can forgive myself.

As I stated in the preparation thread a minute or two ago, I just sharpened up a few of my straights, so they're ready to go. Just got to wait a little longer for the stubble to grow in a bit.

Come on you girly men, don't have time to use the straight. That seems like a poor excuse. 15 to 20 minutes for a shave is all it takes... Just stop shaving your legs and you will have ample time..

Im with Rich. Shower, prep in the shower, pre shave oil on while you dry yourself off, lather up and strop while it soaks, re lather, single pass, 15-20 minutes top, and a WAY better shave with one pass then I used to get.
