LOL You don't enjoy shaving with a straight or what? I also play golf, and laugh at the guys who want to finish a round in the fastest time they can do. Of course there is a new trend some people are trying, is running golf with 4 clubs and a putter in the bag, take you shot and run to the ball.
I think this is one big major problem in the world, people want to get everything done way too fast, enjoy the journey, life is way too short.

The shave below took much less time.
I do not recommend moving at the speed below, it is dangerous, I believe. As you will see in the video at one point getting in a hurry with a straight is not wise.. I just wanted to see how fast I could do it, if I had to.
This seems like a reasonable EDS. Every day shave.

I would like to say that, like most in this thread, I very much prefer to take my time and enjoy my shaves. 15-20 minutes, usually.

The few times I tried to hurry I spent more time stopping the bleeding than the time I "saved".

Hopefully more slowly than the time it takes to finish shaving

I'm usually in the 20-25 minute range but with caveats: I have coarse, wiry whiskers and my neck is fully covered with whiskers down to my collar bone. So I require shaving a lot of surface area covered in tough whiskers. Most of the 'quick shave' videos are guys with wispy thin hair and whiskers that stop half-way down the neck. Nothing wrong with that, my point is just that shaving times are relative. Here's a timing breakdown:

    Building lather: 2 minutes
    Lather full face: 1 minute
    First pass, N-S: 5 minutes
    Lather neck: 1 minute
    E-W on neck: 2 minutes
    Lather neck: 1 minute
    W-E on neck: 2 minutes
    Lather neck: 1 minute
Touch up on neck: 2 minutes
    Lather jawline up: 1 minute
    S-N pass: 5 minutes
    Re-lather jawline up: 1 minute
    Touch up pass: 3 minutes

    Total time: ~27 minutes

Cleanup is around 5 minutes. I do that 3 times a week and I get a full BBS with very little irritation.

Your timing is about like mine. Include brushing teeth, putting pomade and combing my hair, waxing moustache, and razor maintenance, I'll occupy the throne room a full 45 minutes.
