Every razor has a personality to it, shave with it exclusively for a half-dozen shaves and you two will be great friends in the end.
That is part of my rational in using most razors for around a week, sometimes three.

Yea, a paste that works great on a knife or tool edge, may not work so great on a razor. Most are polishing paste/compounds that leave a micro toothy edge from aggressive grit or grits that polish well. Like some fine metal polishes.

The trick for razor stropping is a paste that polishes the edge smooth, like Chrome, Cerium, and Ferrous Oxides, or CBN.

What are you using? You might try some Chrome Oxide or .125 or .10um CBN to finish the edge smoother. Try the Qtip.

I will check tonight with a qtip,I have looked at the edge with a hand held scope and it looks clean.I use a dab of rolite on my strop,I have used it for years as the last step on knives and a couple of years on razors. It has jewellers Rouge blended in .

Yea, most metal polishes contain abrasives will polish quickly, some will remove all 8k stria, visible at 400X, but will leave a toothy edge.

I have done much the same with MAAS and Mothers polish.

Try some Chrome Oxide, I have had good luck smoothing an edge, but may take 50 + laps. CBN also works.

Ran a qtip over the edge and not a single pulled fiber ,I'm going to wait a day and then shave with it using a very light touch and see what happens.

If your edge is OK the I would say to watch your angle when you shave. Many years ago I bought a L. and A. shavette type razor for those quick shaves when there was no time for stropping. My first shave with that thing was a weeping disaster. I finally figured out that it needed a different shave angle than my real straights. I let my face heal up and the next shave with a different angle approach was BBS and no weepers. My razors range from 7/8 all the way down to 3/8 and all of them require little angle tweaks. They let me know what it takes on my part to be friends to them.

Good point Benz,my normal everyday razor is a 5/8 and this one is wider somewhere between a 6/8 and a 7/8 so tonight I will keep that in mind ,watch the angle and a feather touch and we will see how it comes out.

Well I used it last night, played extra attention to my shave angle and pressure and ended up with one weeper .I suspect I just knocked the top off one from the other day.
