Default Stealth cut.... what the heck???

Had a great two pass shave this morning with my Tosuke Kamisori - everything felt great - that was 7:00 am. Five minutes ago (3:45) I was in the men's room, washing my habds, and looked up and BAM! there's a 1/2 inch cut in my face....I didn't feel a thing this morning - did my usual AV Ice Blue AS - usually a tell tale if there is any damage...nada.

I have been scratching my head to think of something else I have done - paper cut, gremins, poltergeist - but cant think of anything that came close.

Often times with that double spike edge and short length it's easy to "score" your face and not even feel it. You find it later.

    Been there, done it myself.

I muted both heel and toe, but I think I 'scored' it when I began my across the grain pass.... another battle scar!!!

I've had a few of those, feels like a great shave, glance in the mirror an hour later....suddenly a slight red line has appeared - just like your pic - par for the course in our dangerous business I figure...usually happens to me with the XTG pass.

About the thin red line...they happen...might just be the shallowest of shallow 'cuts.' So shallow you can't feel them, just a scoring of the topmost layer....who knows, but you have some company...that's all that matters.

I must admit, I have done this like three times in the past 30 days! I am getting careless!

No problem - we're all of the few...for instance, after shaving one day, I defended a small Amazon Village from a horde of ferocious Army Ants with nothing but a hoe and a small glass of water....

Ahhh the old moat trick worked then eh Phrank ?

Got luck and cut between the nerves ? I call them kitty scratches. You get them and they start itching 2 hours later.

Yes, it's the "skills", I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I'm an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie.

I balance, I weave, I dodge, and I frolic, and all my bills are paid, but still, I occasionally suffer a stealth cut...it baffles me to this day....
