Thanked: 4Now I know why old timers had goatees!
Shaving your cheeks is darned easy and fast. I see a lot of SR videos with dudes with goatees, now I know why
Shaving the goatee area is 75% of the time it takes me to shave.
It also explains the number of old photos of men with goatees. Maybe it was not so much a style thing as a time saver.

That's 50% the reason I have a goatee, the other 50% is my chin gets irritated with any type of shave. My chin and upper lip have not seen the sun since '06...

When I see a guy with a goatee I figure he's cheating.
When I see a guy with a full beard it figure he gave up. :-)S.L.A.M.,.......SHAVE LIKE A MAN!!!

No, styles come and go, the van dyke and goatee are just stylish. Myself until I retired it was a full shave everyday, work required it, but now I have my biker goat going, I personally didn't find it any harder once I learned how to shave with a straight, it's just a few more strokes. Tc

Thanked: 60Once you get it down it does not take any longer than say shaving your neck. I avg a 2 pass shave in about 10 minutes. It's muscle memory and learning efficient passes that give the most bang for the buck.

My goatee came and went over the years, but since I've been with my wife she has forbidden me to cut it off under penalty of divorce. She did offer an exception, though: I have to use an epilator if I want to remove it.

I've had my goat for so long that I can't remember shaving my chin. I'm sure it does save me some time though.

I've always had a mustache, because I like the look. However I have a long and narrow face and look worse in a goatee. So, I suffer with shaving below the lip and chin area. It's the hardest area, especially since I have a mole there. It gets clipped once and a while, if I'm not careful.
